Maple caramelized bacon
Bacon for brunch, definitely. Maple caramelized bacon at your sugar shack brunch, definitely to the power of a kazillion!
- 1 package Lafleur bacon
- ½ cup maple syrup
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- Finely ground black pepper
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place bacon strips on it side by side without overlapping.
In a bowl, mix the syrup and the mustard.
Spread half the mixture on the bacon and bake 12 to 15 minutes.
Turn bacon slices and top with remaining mix.
Cook another 5 to 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and sprinkle lightly with ground pepper.
Let rest 5 minutes.
