3 activities for a field trip at Parc Jean-Drapeau
Curious by nature? Rain or shine, the Parc Jean-Drapeau offers a wide array of activities for history and science enthusiasts!
A trip to the museums
The Biosphere, environment museum, invites you to come visit its fun-filled exhibitions to get a better understanding of major environmental issues: air, water, biodiversity, climate change, sustainable development, and much more. You can also take part in animated activities and special events to learn about solutions available to protect the environment in your daily life.
The Stewart Museum has a summer program packed with family activities for the 50th anniversary of Expo 67 and the celebration of Montréal’s 375th, including lectures, creative workshops, themedays, etc. Among others, the Stewart Museum has two new not to be missed exhibitions: Expo 67 – A world of dreams and History and Memory. While you are there, take time to enjoy one of their guided tours, or simply relax in their courtyard overlooking the St. Lawrence River.
Discover the history of the Parc
To celebrate the Development and Enhancement plan of St. Helen's island and the 50th anniversary of Expo 67, Parc Jean-Drapeau invites you to look back at the history and evolution of the islands where Expo 67 took place. Through virtual and augmented reality technologies, the activity Terre d’expériences located at the Aquatic Complex will make you rediscover the history of the Parc, live major events as if you were there and envision the future of the islands.
You haven't had enough? Purchase the novel memory album Two Islands, One Park, One City…that traces the evolution of Parc Jean-Drapeau through the different historical periods. From 1535 to this day, discover how the Parc has marked the development of Montréal as a cosmopolitan metropolis, thus giving citizens a site rich in historical, cultural and built heritage.
